- 2 lbs lean ground beef
- 1 medium onion, chopped
- 1 green bell pepper, chopped
- 1 clove garlic, minced
- 1 (29oz) can tomato sauce
- 3 tablespoons chili powder
- 1 tablespoon ground cumin
- 1 tablespoon brown sugar
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1 can Mrs. GrimesĀ® Chili Beans (40oz) (do not drain)

Directions
In 5 to 6-quart Dutch oven, cook ground beef over medium-high heat 8 to 10 minutes or until browned, stirring to break up meat. Drain. Stir in onion, bell pepper and garlic. Cook 5 to 7 minutes or until slightly soft. Stir in tomato sauce, chili powder, cumin, brown sugar and salt. Cover; reduce heat. Simmer 30 minutes, stirring occasionally. Stir in beans. Cook 10 minutes or until thoroughly heated.
Tip: Use your favorite chili toppings – sour cream, shredded cheese, or diced avocado.
